Baby’s 1st Year With Genesis

Support for You and Your Baby Through the First Year

Genesis of Pittsburgh is participating in a PA State Grant to support Genesis clients with transportation assistance and infant care products. The program’s goal is to help ensure access to resources critical to health, well-being, and stability during pregnancy and through the first year of a baby.

Monthly Transportation Assistance: You will receive a Pittsburgh Regional Transit monthly pass that will be replaced every month. After the birth of your child monthly passes will continue until your baby is 12 months old.

In addition to doctor visits, work and errands, the pass will enable you to return to Genesis of Pittsburgh at 550 California Avenue, Avalon, PA 15202 to receive your monthly Baby Box until your baby is 12 months old.

  • 1 portable sleeping unit for a Safe Sleep Solution
  • 1 infant car seat with a compatible stroller for Transportation Safety

  • 1 breast pump

Monthly Baby Box Pickup

On the 2nd Monday of every month at 1:00 PM, come to Genesis of Pittsburgh in Avalon to receive your Baby Box.

What You Will Receive

  • 160 diapers
  • 4 packs of baby wipes
  • 2 containers of baby soap and shampoo
  • 1 container of moisturizing cream
  • 1 container of diaper rash cream
